Cookie policy
SpotSalary uses a small number of essential cookies. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party analytics in the default build.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. They let a site keep a session, protect forms against cross-site request forgery and remember an optional sign-in. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage.
Essential cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| spot_salary_session | Keeps your session, flash messages and CSRF state | Session (or until the configured session lifetime expires) |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Helps protect forms against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| remember_web_… | Only if you choose “remember me”; keeps you signed in | Up to 5 years or until you sign out |
The exact cookie name can vary with the SESSION_COOKIE environment setting.
Analytics and advertising
The default build ships with advertising slots disabled and does not include third-party analytics. If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may set advertising cookies and receive your IP address and user agent. Consent will be requested where required, and this page and the privacy policy will be updated.
Third-party requests
- Google Fonts. Pages request Inter and JetBrains Mono from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google receives your IP address and user agent.
- jsDelivr. Report pages load Chart.js from cdn.jsdelivr.net. jsDelivr receives your IP address and user agent.
- flagcdn.com. Country flags on cards, tables and page headers are loaded from flagcdn.com, which receives your IP address and user agent.
- Google AdSense. If advertising is enabled, Google may set advertising cookies and receive your IP address and user agent.
- Email and infrastructure. These are server-side and do not set cookies in your browser.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and may break forms. Because we do not use advertising cookies, there is no advertising opt-out on this site.
Your browser may also support Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. We do not run cross-site tracking in the default build, so there is nothing additional to disable.
Changes
We may update this policy when cookies or third-party requests change. The “last updated” date at the top of the page shows the current version.

Cookie policy — FAQ
Do I need to accept cookies to read a salary report?

Do you use Google Analytics?
Not in the default build. If analytics is added, this page will be updated and consent will be requested where required.
