Only the top marginal rate (45.0%) is known. It is not applied flat, because that would overstate tax at lower incomes. Add verified brackets to enable a take-home estimate. Source: PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries · retrieved Oct 2026 Social contributions and local levies are not included.

Common questions

Take-home pay, explained

How is take-home pay calculated?

The calculator applies the country income tax profile imported by SpotSalary. Where progressive brackets are available it applies them with the standard deduction and any rebate; where only an effective rate is available it uses that rate. Social contributions and local levies are not included.

Why is only the top tax rate shown for some countries?

When only the top marginal rate is known, applying it flat would overstate tax at lower incomes. SpotSalary shows the rate but does not invent a take-home figure until verified brackets are available.
