Using SpotSalary
Search a job title and a city or country to open a report. The salary directory lists every published benchmark by role and place. All reports are free and require no login.
About the data
Estimates are modelled from external market signals, public observations and AI synthesis, then validated deterministically. They are not official statistics. Each report shows its confidence, sources and update date. Read the methodology for the full process.
Accounts and privacy
An account is optional. Sign in with a one-time email code to save a profile, track your market value and ask for a report by email. Reports, hubs and legal pages never require an account. See the privacy policy for what is stored.
Accuracy and limits
No salary estimate is exact. Ranges, confidence scores and source citations are there so you can judge the evidence. Forecasts are scenarios, not predictions, and tax estimates exclude social contributions and personal circumstances. Read the disclaimer.
Corrections and contact
If a figure or source looks wrong, send the report URL and your evidence to [email protected]. See the contact page and editorial and AI policy.
Frequently asked questions — FAQ
Is SpotSalary free?
Yes. Salary reports, the directory, hubs and tools are free. An account is optional and only adds personal tools and email delivery.
How does SpotSalary estimate salaries?
It anchors estimates to external market signals such as GDP per capita PPP, inflation, wage growth, cost of living, demand and automation exposure, then synthesises gaps with AI. Deterministic validation rejects implausible outputs, and every report carries a confidence score and sources.
Are the figures official statistics?
No. They are modelled estimates for guidance, not official statistics, offers or professional advice. Official inputs are cited where used, but the final band is a SpotSalary estimate.
How accurate is a SpotSalary report?
Accuracy varies with the quality and density of local evidence. Reports show confidence and ranges instead of hiding uncertainty. A high-confidence country benchmark is usually stronger than a low-confidence city estimate. Use the range and verify anything that matters.
Why is SpotSalary different from other salary sites?
SpotSalary combines a current benchmark, a five-year scenario outlook and take-home pay on one page, with confidence and sources. It is geo-role specific rather than country-only, and the report is also available as Markdown and JSON for machine use.
How often are reports updated?
Stale report bands and forecasts are refreshed on a daily schedule. Each report shows its update date and, where available, a forecast refresh date. Source data can lag the refresh date.
Does the report include take-home pay?
Yes, where tax data is available. It applies progressive brackets, a verified flat rate or an effective rate and labels the method. Social contributions, local levies and personal deductions are not included.
Do you cover my city?
SpotSalary imports 240 countries and more than 44,000 cities. Coverage of published reports grows over time; if your city is missing, search it to request a report or contact us to prioritise it.
Can I cite a SpotSalary figure?
Yes, with attribution to SpotSalary and a link to the report URL. Do not present a modelled estimate as an official statistic or a guaranteed offer. See the terms for bulk-use permission.
Is my data private?
Reports are public; your profile and current salary are not published. Account email, search history and profile data are handled as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell personal data or use salary data for advertising.
Can an AI assistant read SpotSalary?
Yes. Public pages are crawlable, there is an llms.txt index and full corpus, and every report has Markdown and JSON representations. AI crawlers are explicitly allowed in robots.txt.
